Vietnamese Day Held in Russia's University to Promote Traditional Culture
A cultural, art, and food exchange program titled “Vietnamese Day” was held at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University in Russia on February 16, VNA reported.
Participating in the event, on the Vietnamese side were the Vietnamese Defence Attache in Russia Vuong Dac Thang; Duong Hoang Minh, the Vietnamese Trade Counselor in the Russian Federation, and representatives of the Party Committee and the Overseas Student Affairs Management Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia; Vietnamese Student Association and Vietnamese Association in Russia.
On Bauman's side were Mikhail Dmitrievich Safonov, vice principal in charge of policy and youth education; Chernikov Aleksandr Sergeevich, dean of the Faculty of International Education Program; Gurko Igor Vladimirovich, head of the Department of International Educational Cooperation, along with hundreds of Vietnamese students studying at many universities in Moscow and international students interested in Vietnamese culture.

Addressing the event, Dean Chernikov recalled the long-standing traditional friendship and mutual support between Russia and Vietnam over the past years.
Chernikov assessed that among foreign students from 76 countries studying at the university, Vietnamese have achieved many outstanding academic achievements, with many Olympiad awards in mathematics, physics, and other subjects.
Such a cultural exchange program offers an opportunity for Russians to learn about the culture, country, and people of Vietnam, he stressed.
Vietnamese Defence Attache in Russia Vuong Dac Thang affirmed that Bauman is a famous university worldwide, many Vietnamese people who graduated from the school are currently holding important positions in research agencies or the government apparatus of Vietnam.
He also expressed his gratitude to the university for always paying attention to the study, life, and activities of Vietnamese students during the past time, as well as creating favorable conditions for them to organize the event.
Thang also appreciated the efforts of the Vietnamese international student group at Bauman University, not only in studying but also in cultural and sports activities, demonstrating the enthusiasm and determination of youth.
On the occasion of the New Year of the Dragon 2024, Thang wished Vietnamese students to continue to achieve high results in their studies, as well as have more memorable memories with beautiful Russia.

Yana, a first-year student at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, said she was very impressed with the program organized by Vietnamese students. Although she has not been to Vietnam, she has enjoyed many Vietnamese dishes in Moscow, and this event is an opportunity for Yana to better understand Vietnamese cuisine, costumes, and traditional culture.
