Vietnam, Nepal Discussed Establishing Cooperation in Tourism Development

The meeting took place during the NPSC delegation's visit to Vietnam.
Rabindra Adhikari, Chairman of the NPSC Council, said that Nepal's leaders have an interest in developing relations with Vietnam in tourism. Vietnamese tourists come to Nepal mainly for religious tourism. Nepal hopes to establish a direct flight route between the two countries.
Deputy Director of Vietnam National Tourism Administration Ha Van Sieu said that it is necessary to establish cooperative relations between tourism agencies of the two countries, proposing specific activities such as exchanging delegations, participating in promotion fairs, connecting the two countries' tourism associations, and signing tourism cooperation agreements.
The two sides agreed to soon present a proposal for cooperation in tourism development and expressed confidence that this meeting would be the starting milestone for tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Nepal.
