Vietnam’s Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Technology Applications (HYMETEC) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Meteorological Service of New Zealand (MetService) to work closely on providing weather-related information for broadcast and online applications, to ensure rapid updates and warnings.

WeatherScape is an innovative weather graphics system developed by MetService.

The ceremony was witnessed by New Zealand Minister of Finance and Minister of Sport and Recreation, Grant Robertson and Vietnam’s Deputy Natural Resources and Environment Minister, Le Cong Thanh, the Vietnam Economic Times reported.

Under the partnership, MetService’s state-of-the-art Weatherscape XT solution will be used by local broadcasters to provide accurate forecasting and severe weather warning information.

WeatherScape is an innovative weather graphics system developed by MetService. This system is widely used by broadcasters in New Zealand and around the world to provide viewers with the most accurate and intuitive weather information.
