Vietnam, Turkey to Boost Local and Enterprise Cooperation
F-Istanbul is a big event that is held annually to connect the food industry in Turkey, attracting the participation of Turkey’s major partners in the EU and the Middle East with 479 booths from nearly 40 countries.
The event focuses on linking enterprises wanting to boost cooperation, exchange information, and promote import-export activities in key fields including food and beverage, nuts, dried fruit, snacks, production technology, packaging, retail store design and construction, etc.

At the event, Ambassador Do Son Hai had meetings with F-Istanbul Executives, major enterprises of Turkey, and other countries in the region, as well as visiting booths.
“Vietnam is a country having strengths in fields such as exporting nuts, spices, fresh and dried fruits. I hope that Turkish businesses can connect more with the Vietnamese business community in this potential food field,” shared Havva, Marketing Director of F-Istanbul.

Discussing with Havva and Turkish enterprises at the exhibition, Ambassador Hai emphasized the cooperation potential between Vietnamese and Turkry businesses in the food industry, affirming that the Embassy would actively and positively connect businesses of the two sides and help enterprises of the two sides have a better understanding about each other’s market. He also expressed his hope that some Vietnamese enterprises would attend the exhibition next year.

Also during the working trip, Ambassador Do Son Hai and the delegation of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee led by the Standing Deputy Secretary, Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly Dang Ngoc Huy met member enterprises of the Turkey-Vietnam Business Council.
At the meeting, Dang Ngoc Huy introduced general information and potentials of Quang Ngai province such as the location, socioeconomic status, social–cultural values, local people, and investment environment.
Huy said the province is expected to attract more Turkish investors and businesses, focusing on clean and organic agriculture, energy, and tourism.

He also expressed his wish that the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey and the Turkey-Vietnam Business Council would connect Quang Ngai and a suitable locality in Turkey for cooperation in the near future.
Chairman of the Turkey-Vietnam Business Council Murat Atik expressed his impression on the potential of Quang Ngai province and affirmed that he and the Turkey-Vietnam Business Council would share the information with the domestic enterprise community and maintain close cooperation with the region and the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey.

The delegation of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee also had an effective working session with representatives of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Turkish Tourism Development and Promotion Agency to exchange experiences on preserving cultural values, historical relics and taking advantage of economic and tourism development.
