Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), had a courtesy call with Korhan Kemik, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Viet Nam on January 7 in Hanoi.
Son welcomed Ambassador Korhan Kemik to VUFO and wished him a successful tenure in Viet Nam. The President introduced the VUFO, stressing that there is still much room for cooperation between Vietnam and Türkiye.
He affirmed that the VUFO will be an active bridge to introduce and connect cooperation between Vietnamese universities and companies with suitable Turkish partners while promoting the establishment of cooperation mechanisms and twinning between the localities of the two countries.

President Phan Anh Son also proposed that the two sides coordinate to hold an information-sharing session about Türkiye at the VUFO's headquarters with the participation of representatives of Vietnamese agencies, organizations, and enterprises to enhance mutual understanding and promote cooperation.
Ambassador Korhan Kemik thanked VUFO President Phan Anh Son for his warm welcome and highly appreciated the role and activities of the VUFO, expressing his wish that the two sides would strengthen cooperation and coordinate to implement people-to-people exchange activities in the coming time.
The diplomat also expressed his wish that through the VUFO, the embassy would have more connections and work with localities to explore cooperation opportunities, and agreed with the proposals of the VUFO President.
The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination in promoting cooperation activities in bilateral relations in many fields such as economy; people-to-people exchange, including enhancing mutual understanding through tourism, activities to introduce and promote each country's culture and history; national defense - security and exchange of experience in natural disaster response, among others.
