(VNF) - On November 27th, in Hanoi, Associate Professor PhD Nguyen Viet Thao, Vice Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, President of Vietnam-Venezuela Friendship Association (VVFA) received Carolus Wimmer, head of International Relations of Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) who had a trip to Vietnam to attend the meeting of World Peace Council Executive Committee.

At the meeting, Thao shared with his guests information on the socio-economic situation of Vietnam and VVFA’s growth and achievements during the past years.

Carolus thanked Thao for giving him the most honest view on the Vietnam’s socio-economic situation in recent years; at the same time, he informed Thao about the current situation of Venezuela, adding that with its difficulties in all its aspects included economic and foreign affairs sectors, the South American country loses many close allies.

He wishes to continue to receive the support of VVFA and Vietnamese people to Venezuela's revolutionary road, in particular, Venezuela's development in the agricultural sector.

Thao, for his part, affirmed the support of the Association in particular and the Vietnamese people in general for the revolutionary cause of Venezuela and its people, expressing his trust that the country will overcome the current difficult period. VVFA has continued to show its support through of numerous informational activities on the Venezuelan situation and resolute opposition to the online newspaper pages to give false and one-sided information about Venezuela./.
