A delegation of Venezuelan Embassy, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) and the Vietnam-Venezuela Friendship Association on December 18 laid a wreath in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations (September, 1989-2019).
Prominent at the ceremony were newly-appointed Ambassador Tatiana Pugh Moreno, who recently arrived in Vietnam, joined numerous Venezuelan embassy officials; Cuban Deputy Ambassador Nancy Pérez Medina; representatives of VUFO, the Vietnam-Venezuela Friendship Association, the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
This is first time Ambassador Tatiana came to Vietnam. She expressed her admiration and affection for President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese people, adding that the activity as a part of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.
The diplomat said she is moved at visiting this historic square as well as be able to work and living in Vietnam, adding that she wishes to contribute to step up traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnam.
Vietnam and Venezuela established diplomatic relations on December 18, 1989, which was upgraded to a comprehensive partnership in 2007./.
