With the accompaniment of the Sun Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor Olivier Ochanine, Nguyen Viet Trung performed Chopin’s Concerto No. 1, a youthful masterpiece composed when Chopin was just 20 years old. Eric Lu followed with a deeply moving rendition of Chopin’s Concerto No. 2 in F minor, Op. 21.

Nguyen Viet Trung, who spent his formative years in Poland, described the performance as a heartfelt return to his homeland. His mastery of Chopin’s lyrical and improvisational style captivated the audience, showcasing both emotional depth and technical finesse.

Eric Lu, an acclaimed international pianist, shared his excitement about performing in Hanoi alongside his close friend.

The concert also set the stage for their second performance on December 9, titled “Echoes of Genius,” featuring compositions by Beethoven, Mozart, and Brahms. The highlight of this event will be a dual piano performance of Mozart’s Concerto No. 10, K365.

Both concerts celebrate the timeless value of classical music while fostering cultural exchange and honoring artists from Vietnam and abroad. These events, organized by the Vietnam Classical Music Association, continue to promote classical music and strengthen international cultural ties.
