Vietnamese contestant wins first prize of "Mekong river diversity through your eyes" photo contest
(VNF) – The photo exhibition “Mekong River Diversity Through Your Eyes" organized by the Mekong river Commission was launched in Vientiane (Laos) on December 7.

Dr. An Pich Hatda, Director of Planing Division of the Mekong River Commission; Ambassadors, Charge d’ affaires, representatives of embassies and various international organizations in Laos, attended the exhibition opening ceremony.
The exhibition introduces to audience 30 best photos taken by 42 amateur photographers from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
Those photos were shortlisted from 165 entries by 42 contestants from four countries by the judge panel of the photography contest “Mekong River Diversity Through Your Eyes” kick started in July by the Mekong river Commission in July.

The photos were taken with the aim to honor the persity of the Mekong river, while help raise public’s awareness of the importance of cross-border cooperation in water resources use and management, with a view to ensuring sustainable development in Mekong basin.
5 representatives of Vietnam with impressive photos have entered the final round. Remarkably, contestant Vu Minh Hieu’s photo themed “Chau Doc fishing village at night” wins him the first prize of the contest while his another entry brings him a special award from the judges./.
