Vietnamese Ethnic Costumes Collection to Exhibit in Taiwan (China) and Japan
"DARE TO LEAD A GLORIOUS LIFE" exhibition by Vietnamese journalist/director Nguyen Bong Mai is a visual, interactive experience outlining Mai’s journey resulting in 55 ethnic costumes that Mai has collected during her cross-country trip for 99 days in 2022.
According to ALOV, the purpose of bringing "DARE TO LEAD A GLORIOUS LIFE" toJapan and Taiwan (China) will help to connect and promote the dynamic and bright image, culture and people of Vietnam to the world. Also, it will create a favorable opportunity for opening a program to promote tourism, trade and investment between Vietnam and foreign countries.

With a journey of 3 chapters “99 days of solo traveling” – “99 days with national costumes” – “99 days of being alone but not alone”, the audience will follow the adventure of Bong Mai to dive deep into the unique culture of Vietnam.
The exhibition was displayed at the Vietnam Women’s Museum from Feb 18 to 26, 2023. The exhibition was sponsored from United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Vietnam. According to Bong Mai, the exhibition had received about 5.500 visitors, both Vietnamese and foreign.

Journalist/director Nguyen Bong Mai (born in 1977), is a former member of the famous Vietnam girl group "Con gai". Mai had 12 years of working and producing at VTV3 and 3 years as a manager of VTVcab Educational and Entertainment Content Production Center. Currently, Bong Mai is a journalist at Ngay Nay newspaper. "The 99-day journey through Vietnam with Mai" is the longest solo trip she took so far, from Feb 2 to June 6, 2022, in which she traveled to 44 cities, provinces across the country. |
