Vietnamese, Japanese Students Engage in Exchange Program

The the theme of “Vietnam-Japan Friendship,” the program saw the participation of 11 students from Japan’s Sumiyoshi school, and 11 from Hanoi-based Phan Huy Chu Secondary School, and 300 others from Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School.

It formed part of activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties, offering an opportunity for the participants to learn about the land, people, culture and achievements of Japan, as well as the close relations between people of the two countries.

Apart from art performances, the participants joined other activities like painting highlighting the land and culture of the two countries, and their friendship.

Earlier, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan also held an exchange event with the theme of "Teenage Ambassadors 2023” for 100 Vietnamese and Japanese high school students.
Throughout the event, students from Japan and Vietnam learn about each other's cultures and development achievements. |
The annual event, from November 13-19, was sponsored by the AEON 1% Club Foundation, as part of the activities for the two countries’ young people to interact with each other.

President of the foundation Yoshiki Mori said, the event aims to promote friendship between the countries, providing a platform for Japanese youths and their friends from other nations to meet and raise mutual understanding.
Painting activity was organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam. |
Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Duc Minh expressed his hope that the students will gain useful and meaningful knowledge and experiences, and become a bridge further cementing the sound relations between the two nations.
