(VNF) - The five-star Anam resort, located in the Cam Ranh Bay of the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, was listed among world’s hot new hotels by the travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller India.

Less than 2 hours by flight from the bustling capital, Hanoi, The Anam is a new 213-key resort on quiet Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam.

The magazine said visitors could enjoy a true holiday and take shelter from the stressful modern life at the Anam. It noted that the views are serene: the occasional sampan dots the South China Sea, lush headlands rise to the west, and islands sprawl to the east. The Anam embraces its sweeping vistas with plush oceanfront villas, and almost 1,000ft of the romantic beachfront setting are private.

Indoors, the décor exudes old-world charm—all French colonial-style mosaic floors, villa roofs that recall Hue’s imperial palace, and Asian accents such as lanterns and vases. All the rooms come with products by French tea-inspired brand Thémaé, sunken bathtubs and rainshowers. The conference facilities and ballroom make sure you’re covered for any event.

“There’s plenty to do at the 12-hectare property. You can practise your backhand on the tennis court (use of which is complimentary), snorkel or surf with the water sports club, watch a movie at the 3-D theatre or laze by (or in) the infinity pool. The kids’ club offers a number of activities, and the hotel arranges for babysitters, so parents can slip away to the Balinese spa or lounge with cocktails at the Beach Club.”

“For a taste of local life, go fishing on a coracle. Take a tour of Nha Trang, the lively beach resort town nearby, with well-known local photographer Mai Loc, whose images of Vietnam feature at The Anam’s Saigon Bar. But if you want to go local without leaving the lounger, wait for the weekly serving of delicacies cooked by the staff’s mothers at The Indochine,” the travel magazine wrote.

Khanh Hoa and its resort city Nha Trang are among Vietnam’s most popular destinations thanks to beautiful beaches and islands alongside friendly locals, the safe environment and affordable prices.

This year, the province hosted several international and national events, notably the first 2017 APEC Senior Officials Meeting, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Beach Festival and the Ponagar Temple Festival.

It welcomed more than 2.6 million tourists in the first half of 2017, up 22 per cent from the same period last year, earning more than VND 7.5 trillion (USD 330 million) in revenue./.
