On March 20, the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark, in collaboration with the Denmark-Vietnam Friendship Association (DAVIFO), organized a promotion and introduction session about Vietnam and Vietnam-Denmark relations for teachers and students at Slotshaven High School in Holbaek, Denmark. The event aims to promote people-to-people exchange cooperation and strengthen the friendship and mutual understanding between Danish and Vietnamese.

The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Luong Thanh Nghi, DAVIFO President Trine Glue Doan, teachers, and around 30 students from Slotshaven High School.

In his welcome speech, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi welcomed the Slotshaven High School teachers and students who attended the promotion and introductory session about Vietnam in preparation for their field trip to Vietnam in April 2024.

According to the Ambassador, this is a significant opportunity for building mutual understanding and affection between people of the two countries, especially the younger generation.

To provide the Danish participants with a general understanding of Vietnam, Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi highlighted Vietnam's socioeconomic development situation, as well as achievements in the relationship between the two countries after more than 50 years of diplomatic relations. He also introduced the functions and tasks of the Vietnamese Embassy in Denmark in deepening and promoting Vietnam-Denmark relations.

The Ambassador proudly introduces Vietnam's land, people, historical relics, traditions, attractive tourist destinations, cultural beauty, art, and cuisine to young Danish people, drawing on his personal experiences as someone who has been involved in journalism, media, and community work for many years and has visited many regions of Vietnam.

According to the Vietnamese diplomat, young Danish people should take advantage of their youth to visit and discover about Vietnam, as every destination here has its own, distinct beauty that makes a lasting impression.

As a person who has lived and worked in Vietnam for over 15 years, President of DAVIFO Trine Glue Doan introduced DAVIFO's activities to promote exchange and understanding between people and young generations in both countries, as well as to share her personal experiences and affection for Vietnam and its people.

Trine Glue Doan said that Vietnam is beautiful, its citizens are friendly, gentle, and hospitable, and the Vietnamese culture is diverse and vibrant. In addition, Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing countries in the region, making it an attractive destination for businesses and international tourists.

Teachers and students from Slotshaven High School responded enthusiastically to the two main speakers' presentations, asking numerous questions and seeking valuable advice on how to have the most memorable experiences in Vietnam.

Young Danish individuals also attended the event to enjoy a picture exhibition and short films introducing and promoting Vietnam, as well as try some traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi wished the Slotshaven High School teachers and students numerous wonderful experiences during their fact-finding trip to Vietnam and expressed his delight that the young Danish generation is becoming more interested in learning about Vietnam's country, people, culture, and history. He hopes that the ties and friendship between the two countries' young generations, the future owners of Vietnam and Denmark, will continue to grow over time, acting as a bridge to tighten Vietnam's friendly and traditional relationship with Denmark.
