The lowest temperature is between 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature is from 25 to 28 degrees, some places above 28 degrees.

The Southern region is cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain, and some places have scattered thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds. Lowest temperature is from 23 to 26 degrees. Highest temperature is between 29-32 degrees, some places above 32 degrees.

The weather forecast in big cities

Hanoi: The National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting predicts that on September 27, Hanoi's weather will be partly cloudy, with a few showers in the morning and mild sunny days. The temperature fluctuates between 33 - 34 degrees, a slight increase of 1 degree compared to the previous day.

Ho Chi Minh City: The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on September 27, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City will be cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, locally with moderate rain, heavy rain, and mild sunny days. The temperature still fluctuates between 31 - 32 degrees.

Da Nang: The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on September 27, Da Nang's weather will be cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, and heavy rain in some places. The temperature is between 29 - 30 degrees, a slight increase of 1 degree compared to the previous day.

Tropical depression heading for central Vietnam

A low-pressure area in the East Sea has strengthened into a tropical depression on September 24 afternoon and is heading towards the central coast of Vietnam, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

At 7:00 p.m., the tropical depression was located about 170km south of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago, with winds gusting approximately 60kph. It was moving westward at a speed of 10-15kph.

The tropical depression is forecast to retain its direction and speed in the next 24 – 36 hours before striking the central coast of Vietnam on September 26.

It will certainly bring heavy rain to the central region, with common rainfall of between 100-300mm or more, said national weather experts.

Rain will also lash the Central Highlands and some southern localities that are anticipated to receive between 100-150mm of rain.

The National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention issued a dispatch requesting relevant units of localities stretching from Quang Binh to Phu Yen to closely monitor developments of the tropical depression, direct fishing vessels to avoid dangerous areas and reinforce fishing farms.

The committee also requested the designated localities to put rescue forces on standby if weather conditions get worse.
