Vo Viet Chung honoured as Fashion International Designer of the Year
(VNF) - Vietnamese designer Vo Viet Chung has been honoured as the Fashion International Designer of the Year and most Excellent International Designer by the Fashion Forward program, of the US.
He introduced his latest collection, called “Royal”, at the Haute with Heart Fashion Show in Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel, U.S. on August 13th.
He was the only Asian fashion designer to participate in the event where he introduced 20 creations accompanied with scarves, shoes and hats in the theme colours of red, gold and black, and made from silk, velvet and lace. All the details on those costumes are made from pearls, metals and stones to reflect the Vietnamese imperial style.

Vo Viet Chung is the first Vietnamese designer to win an award from UNESCO for preserving Vietnam’s intangible cultural heritage by reviving and promoting ‘Lanh My A’ (traditional Vietnamese fabric) in 2007.
He has participated in many fashion shows at home and abroad, including the “J Autumn Fashion Show” in London in 2011; the 2011 Vietnam – Japan Cultural Week in Tokyo, Japan; the Asian Fashion Week 2011 in Thailand; the 2006 China Silk Festival in Australia and New Zealand; Milan Fashion Week in Italy in 2007./.
