Writer brings ‘Sunrise on Sahara’ to Vietnamese readers
(VNF) - Popular Vietnamese travel writer Di Li has brought out a new book called Bình Minh Ở Sahara (Sunrise on Sahara).

The book was launched after the inauguration ceremony of the Sri Lankan cultural festivalon April 27th at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum with the attendance of Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament Karu Jayasuriya and foreign ambassadors in Vietnam.
The fourth travel book of her was written in the style of traveller’s notes. She describes her interesting meetings, difficulties and experiences in various cities in Asia and Europe that she visited from Spain, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Portugal, the Malpes to Japan.
The 312-page book has been praised by critics for providing useful and interesting information about the cultures of different countries and for encouraging young people to travel.
Hasanthi Dissanayake, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Vietnam and a good friend of Di Li, has dedicated a page to write the introduction to the author with the preface "Journey of Friendship has begun in Hanoi since October 8, 2015", in which she considered Di Li a true friend of her and Sri Lanka.
The diplomat knew of Di Li through a presentation of another travel book about her journey through Europe. She, hersefl, is also a very fond of traveling and has visited many parts of the world. When she learned about Di Li's book introduction, she was very excited and it was the beginning of friendship between two women.
The book is introduced by Saadi Salama, Ambassador of Palestine to Vietnam.
"Di Li is a young and promising writer who always wants to bring the whole world closer to Vietnamese readers," said Saadi Salama, Ambassador of Palestine in Vietnam. “Vietnam should not only focus on economic openness but should integrate both in terms of culture and literature. Culture is the basis for Vietnam to expand its relationship with other countries in the world. This book by Di Li can help readers learn about customs and habits of many countries where few Vietnamese come... "
Ambassador of Morocco to Vietnam, Azzeddine Farhane, who had known Di Li through the introduction of the Turkish Ambassador to Vietnam two years ago and who facilitated her visit to Morocco, believed that Vietnamese through the travel book, will get the most objective, accurate view of the countries mentioned in the "Sunrise on Sahara". The Ambassador also expects that after reading this book, Vietnamese readers will be inspired and will come to travel in beautiful Morocco.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers' Association, poet Huu Thinh, congratulated Di Li with this remarkable book, adding that this is a book that led us into new lands and Di Li made the horizons of the world closer to Vietnam. At the same time, she is a friendship messenger bridging Vietnam and the world.
Di Li (whose real name is Nguyen Dieu Linh) is one of the most exciting and outgoing of a new generation of Vietnamese authors writing about modern Vietnam and its place in the world. She also works as a teacher and a journalist.
She has released many books, including crime thrillers, horror stories, humorous fiction and travel books. Her novel The Black Diamond was translated into English in 2012 and Cocktail was translated in the Netherlands in 2015. During her 10 years of writing, she has published nearly 30 books./.
