16 Teams Participate in Vietnamese Football Tournament in Hiroshima, Japan
On September 29, in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, the football tournament of the Vietnamese community in the Chugoku region "FAVIJA CHUGOKU CUP 2024" took place.
The tournament was organized by the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA), with the participation of 16 amateur football teams of Vietnamese people in the Chugoku region.
The tournament serves not just as a venue for sports and health improvement, but also as a platform for young Vietnamese individuals in Japan to connect, unite, and support one another in a foreign environment. Furthermore, it fosters a stronger bond between our expatriate community and the local residents.
The best player award went to player Tran Van Dat of FC Western Okayama.
Following an excited day of competition, FC Mien Tay Okayama won the Championship Cup. FC 37 Hiroshima secured the runner-up position. Tied for third place were FC Saidaiji and FC Phu Tho. The organizing committee presented individual awards, with Tran Quoc Duy of FC 37 Hiroshima receiving the top scorer title and his teammate Cao Quoc Khanh being named the best goalkeeper.
