The 2018 National Conference on Haematology and Blood Transfusion opened in Hanoi on May 23^rd.

The three-day event has attracted the participation of more than 1,000 domestic and overseas delegates from Singapore, the U.S., Germany, Australia, and India.

Nearly 100 reports and essays on the achievements of science in haematology and blood transfusion, as well as updates on the latest knowledge in this field, and new research projects were presented at the event.

Director of the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) Bach Quoc Khanh said that the international experiences shared at the event could be applied in Vietnam, helping to improve the health sector.

An exhibition on the latest technologies and medicines in haematology and blood transfusions is opening on the side-lines of the event.

Organised by the NIHBT and the Vietnam Association of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, the biennial event provides an opportunity for domestic and international staff in the field to discuss haematology and blood transfusion activities./.
