2,024 Drones Combined with Music Ready to Rock New Year's Eve in Hanoi
Hanoi is expected to set a Southeast Asian record with a majestic light and sound performance supported by 2,024 unmanned aerial vehicles in the sky on Lunar New Year's Eve, VOV reported.

The programme is due to take place between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on February 9 night ahead of a spectacular fireworks display let off in 32 venues throughout Hanoi. It will be live broadcast via media platforms.
Either West Lake or My Dinh National Stadium will be selected to become the venue for the performance of 2,204 drones, said Truong Viet Dung, an official of the Hanoi administration, at a press conference on January 19.
The spokesperson of the Hanoi People's Committee emphasized that this is a new highlight in the joyful atmosphere, welcoming the results achieved in 2023 and entering 2024 with many new victories, spirit, as well as the implementation of the capital's cultural industry.
Thousands of revelers, mostly young people, converge on entertainment centres in Hanoi on lunar New Year’s Eve to enjoy the eye-catching fireworks display and ring in the New Year. This year, February 9 is the last day of the 12th lunar month.

Previously, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan to organize a fireworks display on Lunar New Year's Eve. Accordingly, Hanoi has a total of 32 fireworks displays in 30 districts, including nine high-altitude fireworks displays combined with low-range fireworks and 23 low-altitude fireworks displays.
The fireworks display will last for 15 minutes, from 00:00 a.m. to 00:15 a.m. on February 10, 2024. Funding for organizing fireworks displays is mobilized from socialization. Specifically, the fireworks displays are as follows:
