Tet Festival 2024 Promotes Uniqueness of Vietnamese Culture, Cuisine
Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism and the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association (VCCA) held the Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival at Le Van Tam Park in district 1, VNA reported.
The four-day event features a range of activities honoring Vietnamese culture and food, and Tet rituals that help festival goers learn about the traditional cultural values of Tet.

In addition to traditional and contemporary art programmes, the festival will include many national Tet rituals. It also includes more than 150 booths displaying various Vietnamese products and specialities of localities across Vietnam.
Vietnamese Tet Festival 2024 also honors the typical cultural and culinary values of Vietnam. Right at the main gate of the festival, three Vietnamese traditional houses were restored, decorated with ancestral altars and Tet feasts from the three regions, with 121 dishes made by artisans. In addition, at the event, residents and visitors can also admire and enjoy feasts made by units recommended by the Michelin culinary guide.
Within the framework of this year's festival, product linking activities across regions also take place to serve people's Tet shopping needs; join hands to share love and care for people in difficult circumstances, and orphaned children.
These meaningful activities are a bright spot in the journey of building the Vietnamese Tet Festival into an annual tourism-cultural event, a lively, attractive, and exciting destination as well as enhance the HCM City's tourism brand.

In particular, the 2024 Vietnamese Tet Festival focuses on the criteria "Green Energy - Green Cuisine - Green Tourism", so there are more than 50 booths displaying Vietnamese products and nearly 100 booths in the form of a New Year market introducing a variety of Tet specialties from all regions of the country.
VCCA Chairman Nguyen Quoc Ky said that the festival, held in Ho Chi Minh City every Tet for years, has become one of the events that the city's tourism industry can take advantage of to promote traditional Tet cultural elements and help businesses to introduce products and services.
It also helps the city to promote the uniqueness and diversity of culinary culture to international friends, thus bringing Vietnamese cuisine to the world.
