100 Vietnamese and foreign artists, along with professional and amateur models, participated in the Vietnam Cultural Show London 2024 at Greenwood Theater, London, on May 19. Their performances made a positive impression on the British audience, VOV reported.

The show London 2024 was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954-2024) and the 134th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2024).

The event showcased music, fashion, art, and culture from the northern, central, and southern regions of Vietnam to 300 spectators. The audience included Vietnamese living in the UK and international friends who love Vietnamese art and culture.

The Vietnam Cultural Show London 2024 is organized annually by the Vietnam International Women's Union UK, the Park Pharmacy company, and the Love Collection ao dai brand to celebrate and share the cultural richness of Vietnam with the international community.

Hoang Ha, head of the organizing board, said the success of the program has shown the affection and interest of local authorities and people in the Vietnamese culture as well as the increasing prestige of the Vietnamese community in the UK.

In particular, all participating artists and event organizers are volunteers. All proceeds generated from the program are donated to the Vietnamese Women and Children's Association in the UK to support projects to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture and art.

More than 100 Vietnamese and foreign artists and models, both professional and amateur, performed at the event, introducing the country, its culture, and its people to international friends.

Earlier, on May 11, the Vietnamese Embassy also brought to a diplomatic multicultural fundraising event in London, eight ao dai designs which are part of a collection created by Lan Huong, VNA reported.

The first-ever event, held by the Young Diplomats in London – a voluntary organization, aimed to honor traditional cultural values and arts of countries and promote mutual understanding among diplomatic and local communities. It was attended by over 20 foreign embassies which showcased their national costumes.
