(VNF) - From June 23rd-26th, the 8th international table tennis tournament 2016 for the Southern Fertilizer Cup will take place at Vinh Long Sports and Physical Training Center.

As many as 280 players from 50 domestic clubs (strong ones from the Military, Youth national squad, Ho Chi Minh city, Petrosetco, and Public Security, Hai Duong…) will participate, along with, for the very first time, players from Cambodia, Lao DPR and Thailand, competing in eight categories (four international events and four movement events).

According to Mr Nguyen Minh Hien, Vice Head of Vinh Long Sports and Physical Training Centre, the participation of international athletes should improve the tour’s technical quality, as well as create a good forum for local players to gain more professional skills.

Fans will have the chance to see performances from the nation’s leading players such as Dinh Quang Linh (the Military), Mai Hoang My Trang (Ho Chi Minh city), Dinh Thi Hang (Hai Duong province), and Pham Thi Thien Kim (Vinh Long province).

Organizers are offering a total VND107 million in cash prizes./.
