At the meeting, Tran Thanh Nam, president of the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association, said that Mongolia is one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam and Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia that Mongolia established diplomatic relations with. Over the past 70 years, the friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia have continuously developed and achieved many outstanding successes.

In September 2024, during the visit of General Secretary and State President To Lam to Mongolia, the two countries upgraded their relationship to a "Comprehensive Partnership" and continued to promote expanded cooperation in the fields of politics, defense, security, and law enforcement, economy, trade and investment. They promote substantive cooperation in agriculture, science, transport, culture, sports, tourism, education, labor, environment, and social welfare, strengthening regional and international cooperation.

Tran Thanh Nam shared that the people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Mongolia have developed over many decades, becoming a solid foundation for the friendship between the two countries, deepening mutual understanding and respect between the two peoples, and contributing to the stable and sustainable development of the bilateral relationship. At the same time, he expressed his belief that the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City would achieve many new successes, promoting friendly relations between the people of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, and the people of Mongolia, contributing to the people's diplomacy of the country.

The Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav remarked that, 70 years after the establishment of diplomatic relations, the relationship and cooperation between Mongolia and Vietnam have flourished. The ties between Mongolia and Vietnam have stood the test of time and history.

According to the Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam, over the past seven decades, the leaders of both countries have enriched the traditional friendship and relationship, laying a solid foundation for effective development.

Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav affirmed that Mongolia considers Vietnam a key partner in the ASEAN region. He expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association and Vietnamese friends who have made significant contributions to fostering the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, the Ambassador voiced his confidence that in the coming years, the relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Vietnam will continue to expand and grow stronger.
