A new faulty Mercedes Benz E200 troubled the Vietnamese customer |
According to Truong from Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, the Mercedes-Benz E200 car he bought cost more than 2.13 billion dong. Truong flew from Ho Chi Minh City (south Vietnam) to Hanoi (Capital of Vietnam) to check the car for confirmation in the end of 2019. However, on January 8 2020, the car was delivered to him in Ho Chi Minh City and found faulty with a serration on the car door panel.
Shortly afterwards, the car owner took a photo and sent a report to the dealer, Hang, who sold the car, claiming for a support. But, more than 1 month has passed, he received no any feedbacks from the dealer. Furthermore, Truong called the hotline of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam and was told that the issue solving responsibility taken by the car agent.

Truong continued to contact Mr. Binh - Service Director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Star Long Bien and was instructed to bring the car to Mercedes-Benz Phu My Hung (Ho Chi Minh City) dealer for checking. "On January 20 (Lunar New Year), I returned my hometown for work and drove the car to Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Star Long Bien dealer for check.
The meeting included Mr. Binh, Mr. Nhan and me. After taking photos and recording information about the defect, the agent made me an appointment to wait a few days for reporting to the factory whether it was replaced. After many days of waiting without any response, I myself contacted Mr. Binh and was told that the factory did not compensate or resolve the issue "Truong said.
According to the owner, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Star Long Bien later agreed to find and replace a similar door cover but not yet available. Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Star Long Bien has proposed to replace the panel with one from an old or demo cars but Mr. Truong disagreed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Binh, Service Manager of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Star Long Bien said that, “ It came to the conclusion that the issue of Mr. Truong's Mercedes-Benz E200 caused by an external impact, not a product defect."
Since then, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam Star Long Bien has looked for another similar panel that is completely new to replace for the customer's car.
And, the owner of the car must have waited for a new door panel.
