According to him, his hometown contains of the happiest childhood stories and images, especially every Tet holiday, when the families gather around to celebrate a new year.
“When we were children, we often gathered with our families on the days leading up to Tet with so much joy and excitement. Growing up and leaving Nam Dinh to work in the city, I never forgot my hometown and those memories of my childhood. Over time, life changes, and the once strong families, now do not see each other anymore. But the memories and sentiments remain forever in my mind. Therefore, I created an album of traditional Tet paintings to express my feelings, and to educate the young generation about the past and Vietnamese culture,” Tran Nguyen said.
