Diverse activities will take place at the pedestrian zone around Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi from 07h00 to 21h00 on International Children's Day (June 1).

The event will be held by Hoan Kiem district People’s Committee in coordination with the Institute of National Culture Media and other partners, to provide a useful playing ground for children.

Especially, 2,190 children and teenagers from 15 primary schools and high schools will participate in drawing paintings on children’s dreams.

The event will contribute to promoting children’s potential, intelligence and helping children preserve the traditional culture and solidarity to become helpful citizens of the nation.

The activity “Colour of zoo” will draw the participation of 100 artists, feature 100 images of animals that are close to children, and image of characters in famous cartoons.

The activity “Run for the Children” will combine the running of children in Hanoi and disabled ones to increase physical spirit and promote health, while “Removing trashes at Hoan Kiem lake for environmental protection” aims to respect the environment and improve the awareness of environmental protection.

An arts performance will contribute to building the image of children in the future.

Besides, there will be pavilions displaying information and images about Vietnamese culture and tourism./.
