Amanda Nguyen: The First Vietnamese Woman To Fly Into Space
32-year-old Amanda will fly into space in the upcoming launch of Blue Origin Company (USA) using the New Shepard rocket.
The flight is supported by Space for Humanity (Denver headquarters - USA), a non-profit organization specializing in sponsoring space flights to promote changes related to awareness.

Antonio Peronace, executive director of Space for Humanity, praised her upcoming journey as a symbol of "strength, passion and excellence," in line with the mission of "democratizing space and promoting global connectivity" of this organization.
Amanda said, “Together, we are committed to changing the way we see the universe and the future of humanity. I look forward to flying in my universe, as well as our journey to a brighter and better future.”
There is currently no specific time for Amanda's space flight.
She graduated from Harvard University (USA) and interned at the US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 2013.
She worked at the Harvard & Smithsonian Astrophysics Center (USA), before serving as deputy White House liaison at the US State Department.
In 2014, she founded Rise - a non-governmental organization dedicated to protecting the civil rights of victims of sexual assault and rape.

Amanda, who was sexually assaulted while in college in Massachusetts, helped draft the Sexual Assault Victims Bill of Rights. This bill was passed by former President Barack Obama's administration in 2016.
She is also known for her efforts to promote the rights of Asian Americans and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019. She was voted Woman of the Year by Time Magazine in 2022.
