Amazing Cultural Sites across Vietnam

Vietnam is favored by many travelers as a "tourist paradise" with beautiful scenes, from rivers, mountains, sea snd everywhere in between, including works created by human hands. Vietnam tourism is affirming its position in the international arena day by day, which makes many Vietnamese people proud. Here are some suggestions of the top destinations that are visited the most by foreign tourists.

Sapa

Carmen Vique is a Spanish travel blogger who visited the northern part of Vietnam and had an unforgettable trekking experience in Sa Pa. “One of my fondest memories of traveling in Vietnam is trekking in Sa Pa. This place is beautifully landscaped with endless rice terraces. I can understand why Sapa appeals to trekkers from all over the world, as there are so many trails that meander through the rice fields.”

She said that during her trekking trip to Ban Cat (Cat village), although the weather in Sapa was foggy, it was still possible to see the stretching rice fields and traditional houses of the H'Mong. "Sapa is so great, this place is very poetic and gives me a feeling of complete freedom", said Carmen.

Hoi An

During a month of travel in Vietnam, Anguilano, an Italian tourist, fell in love with Hoi An's ancient town. "Bright red lanterns are hang from the buildings, the emerald green rice fields, and the market is filled with colorful fruits and crafts. Hoi An is a feast for the eyes, and the colorful decorations of the town are not to be missed".

Besides the scenery, the culinary culture of Hoi An also makes a strong impression, especially in the markets. "Some markets in Hoi An are great places to explore Vietnamese culture and cuisine. You can buy almost anything from the stalls. I like the night market in Hoi An the most, as it’s like a festival with various goods, handicrafts, textiles and delicious food. Take a street food tour in Hoi An and you will be blown away by the freshness and attractiveness of the food here", said Anguilano.

For her, the best experience here is probably enjoying the street food bought in the market, wandering on some lantern-lit streets and admiring the river views.

Hue

Having traveled to Vietnam three times, CM Lee, a Malaysian tourist, is always impressed with this S-shaped country. He said: "Vietnam is a country of diverse natural beauty, vibrant cities, rich history and friendly people. That's why I love this country so much. No matter where you go, it will definitely be a great journey to experience many interesting things."

CM Lee also talked about some outstanding destinations in Vietnam. "You can try walking through the verdant rice terraces of Sapa, climbing the sand dunes in Mui Ne, or kayaking on the limestone mountains of Ha Long Bay, along with the largest caves in the world. In Hanoi, you can enjoy fragrant and sweet coffee in the Old Quarter, or sit contemplatively at the French Colonial Museum in Ho Chi Minh City".

However, the most impressive place to him is Hue. "Hue gives me a very peaceful and ancient feeling, something very special. When I visited Hue, I went to Khong Tuoc pagoda, rode a motorbike, enjoyed delicious hot noodles, learned about the history of Vietnam's previous dynasties. Even though Hue at night was a bit sad, this peaceful scene made me really feel at ease", said CM Lee.

Phu Quoc

Vietnam is often mentioned by tourists around the world as a very dynamic destination, one of the countries rich in culture but still integrated with modern life. For Mario, a tourist from South Africa, Phu Quoc is his favorite destination in Vietnam. "Phu Quoc has many of the best beaches and beach bars. It's definitely one of the most unique destinations for both new and experienced travelers, where you can visit more than once because it's very interesting".

Mario is also a big fan of cuisine on this “pearl island”. He even set up an account with the name @phuquoc_foodtour to share his delicious culinary experiences in Phu Quoc like a real local.

Besides, this South African guy also added that he loves food in the city of "red flowers": "For me, Hai Phong is definitely the place with the best food in Vietnam, I can't explain why, I just feel the dishes there have the perfect balance of flavors".

Ha Giang

Gerardo Muniz, a Mexican photographer said: "The trip to Ha Giang was one of my most impressive experiences while traveling in Vietnam".

During this 3 week trip to Vietnam, he spent almost all of his time conquering the roads in the North. "This trip took me to remote areas where many ethnic minorities in Vietnam settled. The scenery along the road to Dong Van rock valley is very charming and majestic. It changes a lot quickly from the big mountains to the jungle".

As a photographer who loves natural landscapes, Ha Giang impressed this Mexican guy a lot. "I fell in love with that place. Even before traveling to Vietnam, I was very captivated by the plan to ride a motorbike among the mountains, forests and rice fields. We spent 4 days completing the Ha Giang ring road. We stayed and had dinner with the locals. On the last day, we rode to the falls to swim and relax. The rice fields were so impressive, I've never seen them before."

Not only set foot in Ha Giang, this young photographer also visited Ha Long and Hanoi. "Vietnamese people are very friendly and Vietnam is really rich and diverse in many things". He expressed his hope that next time coming here, he can visit Hoi An and other places.

It can be said that Vietnam's tourism is becoming a promising destination in Asia. Whether just visiting for a few days or wandering around the country for more than a month, Vietnam can still satisfy even the most demanding guests.
