AmCham Seeks New Cooperation Opportunities in Vietnam

On Feb. 10, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung had a meeting with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association.
At the meeting, representatives of AmCham and US businesses reported to Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung on the operation situation and expressed their desire to expand the scale of business investment in Vietnam.
They also proposed measures to strengthen cooperation to enhance Vietnam's position in the global value chain. US businesses appreciate the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Vietnam in supporting businesses to maintain business and production and overcome the difficult period caused by the pandemic.
AmCham's representative expressed the desire to continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and localities to organize cooperation and investment promotion events. This is to strengthen the connection between US businesses and Vietnamese localities, seeking new cooperation opportunities.
US businesses are also committed to doing long-term and effective business in Vietnam, contributing to the development of economic trade and investment between the two countries.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung, appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to the US, welcomed US businesses wishing to increase business and investment in Vietnam. He reaffirmed that the Vietnamese government was always ready to create favorable conditions for US businesses to do business.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung shared the difficulties that US businesses have faced recently and appreciated the businesses that have persistently invested in and accompanied Vietnam to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the context that Vietnam is entering a "new normal," the Deputy Minister suggested that US businesses continue to rest assured to operate effectively in Vietnam, contributing to economic recovery efforts.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung also said that economic - trade - investment cooperation between the two countries still has a lot of room. He said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to coordinate with AmCham and US businesses to seek new opportunities and fully exploit the potential of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung also had a meeting and worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung suggested that HCMC associations and businesses continue to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our representative missions abroad, especially in the United States, to seek new business and investment opportunities.
Associations and businesses in Ho Chi Minh City thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for enthusiastically supporting and protecting the interests of Vietnamese enterprises operating abroad, especially during Covid-19. Businesses hope the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to play a pioneering role in supporting Vietnamese businesses to connect with global partners.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs always implements the motto "putting people and businesses as the center" in carrying out diplomatic work for development.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is always ready to support Vietnamese businesses to reach out to international markets, participate in the global supply chain, and enhance Vietnam's image and position in the international arena.
The Ministry also makes efforts to coordinate with ministries, branches and localities in seeking cooperation opportunities, attracting foreign investment and technology to Vietnam, while contributing to the country's development.
