Amnesty given to over 440 prisoners
VNF) - On the occasion of the lunar New Year, the provincial Court of the central province of Phu Yen has decided to release prisoners ahead of schedule or reduce duration of imprisonment for 443 prisoners.

The prisoners are those who are in Xuan Phuoc prison under the Ministry of Public Security and the prison of the provincial police.
Accordingly, 90 prisoners will be released before schedule, 350 prisoners’ imprisonment duration will be reduced, and the rest, 3 prisoners’ life sentences will be reduced to 30 years and 20 years.
The amnesty shows the humanitarian policy of the Party and State for prisoners who undergo good labour and education. The amnesty encourages other prisoners to study and practice more for early release and integration into society./.
