From Nghe An province's side, leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, and representatives of leaders of the Nghe An Business Association and many enterprises attended.

There was Pham Ngoc Chu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Entrepreneurs Association, Chairman of the Vietnam Business Association in Hungary, and Member of the Executive Committee of the Hungarian Olympic Committee.

From the Hungarian side, the Head of the delegation, Czigler László, First Vice President of Újpest Budapest city, attended.

At the meeting, Tran Khanh Thuc, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Nghe An province shared some general information about this province, especially its attractiveness as an investment destination. Many large-scale FDI enterprises in Nghe An included Goertek Group (China), Everwin (Hong Kong, China), and Ju Teng (Taiwan, China)

Regarding economic trade activities with Hungary, in 2023, Nghe An's export turnover to Hungary reached US $65,988. In the first 9 months of 2024, the total export turnover of Nghe An to Hungary is US $32,286.

The number of Vietnamese employees from Nghe An working abroad with a term under the province's labor contract from 2020 to the first 10 months of 2024 is 192,691 people, of which 1,847 workers go to work in Hungary for agriculture, food processing, construction, industrial production, welders.

The two sides used this opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and share information about trade, investment cooperation, labor export, international students. Representatives of local businesses also introduced their products to the foreign delegates.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Cong Thanh - General Director of the Center for Promotion and Support for Trade and Cultural Development of Hungary-Vietnam said that his team is ready to act as a trade bridge connecting business delegations to seek cooperation. They will make the training of professional athletes a priority in Hungary-Nghe An cooperation as well.

To strengthen cooperation between the two sides in the coming time, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs - Tran Khanh Thuc hoped that the Vietnam Business Association in Hungary and the Nghe Tinh Overseas Vietnamese Association will continue to provide information and organize online and direct connection forums with businesses in all fields.

He proposed that the Újpest Budapest city government pay attention to promoting Nghe An province to actively connect with the authorities and the business community in two-way trade cooperation, labor export, and so on.
