The Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association hosted a friendship meeting on August 18 in Hanoi to celebrate the National Days of Vietnam and Hungary with nearly 500 delegates who are members of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association.
In his opening speech, Vu Hoang Linh, president of the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association, shared unforgettable memories of his time studying and working in Hungary. He emphasized that the affection between the people of the two countries has not only been passed down through numberous generations, but has also been strengthened more strongly in the new era, with deep ties in areas such as economy, education and culture.

Linh also expressed his deep gratitude to the Hungarian Embassy in Vietnam and its partners who have always accompanied each other in organizing cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy activities.
He, on behalf of aluminums who have studied and lived in Hungary, conveyed his sentiment when participating in events like this. It is not only an opportunity to recall precious memories, but also an opportunity for them to build and promote the deep cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary together.
Speaking at the meeting, Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Tibor Baloghdi expressed his joy at the continuous development of the friendly relationship between the two countries. He stressed the relationship between Vietnam and Hungary is not only a diplomatic relationship, but also a deep connection between the people of the two countries, built over many decades on the foundation of mutual respect and cooperation.

Ambassador Baloghdi especially highlighted the importance of cultural and educational exchange activities between the two countries, including the participation of many generations of Vietnamese people who have studied in Hungary. These factors have been playing an important bridging role, helping to strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding between generations.
He also voiced his hope that future generations will continue to inherit and promote these good values, and affirmed that the Hungarian Embassy will continue to maintain close cooperation with Vietnamese agencies in the future.
In the summary report at the meeting, the Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association reviewed the outstanding activities of the past year. The association has actively participated in people-to-people diplomacy activities, contributing to promoting cooperative relations with Hungarian partners through visits and working sessions. The association held many meetings with the Hungarian Embassy in Vietnam, along with agencies and friendship organizations of Hungary, to expand cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and education.

In the coming time, the friendship association aims to continue to play a bridging role for cooperation between the people and businesses of the two countries. The association will create opportunities for businesses to explore and develop economic cooperation, while promoting the organization of academic and cultural exchange programs to strengthen understanding between the young generations of the two countries, especially in the field of education and training.
The association also plans to organize a series of exchange activities on the occasion of Christmas and New Year; continue to improve the organizational structure, enhance the quality of work, and motivate members to actively contribute to people-to-people diplomacy activities by suitable means.
