The total amount was presented to Patryk and Renata by Nguyen The Thao, President of the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association. Together with Thao, representatives of the Association of Gdansk Polytechnic University Alumni visited and presented gifts to the two Polish people in distress.

Feeling touched by the affection and kindness of Vietnamese friends, Patryk and Renata extend their sincere thanks to the Vietnamese people who have offered assistance to them in their time of need.

According to Renata, they came to Vietnam more than 3 weeks ago, bought a motorbike and planned to travel through Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Unfortunately, they had a traffic accident in Nghe An. Renata broke her leg, while Patryk broke his right foot and suffered other injuries.

When at Nghe An General Friendship Hospital, they received enthusiastic care and proper treatment from doctors and nurses.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang - Principal of Vinh University and some officials and lecturers who used to study and research in Poland - visited two Polish friends at the hospital. Hoang Xuan Thuong, an alumnus of Wrocław Polytechnic, provided language support for them and helped to connect with their family in Poznan, Poland.

It is known that the Polish Embassy in Vietnam has completed the relevant procedures to send the two citizens back to the country for further treatment.
