With efforts to overcome differences and barriers in culture, Vietnam and the USA have laid a strong foundation for bilateral friendship and cooperation.

Nearly 30 years after Vietnam and the United States (US) established diplomatic relations (1995–2024) and a Comprehensive Partnership (on July 25, 2013), the two countries entered a new historic chapter on September 10, 2023, by upgrading their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development. Under this elevated framework, collaborative opportunities between the two countries have broadened significantly across various fields, with culture recognized as a key foundational factor and a vital bridge linking Vietnam and the US.
