BMVSS supports 500 disabilities in Quang Ninh and Yen Bai

In this year, BMVSS along with Indian government, Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Ninh and Yen Bai proposed to continue establishing the Jaipur foot artificial limb fitment camp under the “India for Humanity” programme to to commemorate the 150 th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi./.

Two Jaipur foot artificial limb fitment camps were opened by Blagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahyata Samity (BMVSS) – a nonprofit organization from India for fitment of artificial limbs which has been transforming lives of 50 disabilities in Yen Bai province and Quang Ninh province on May 11.

Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India spoke at the inauguration day: “In the Indian view, the world is one big family in which people share the sympathy and caring to each other. Therefore, it is our motivation to boost the “India for Humanity” programme with practical and humanitarian creations, included the Jaipur Foot.”

In this day, 6 disabilities were fitted with the Jaipur foots. Two of them were Trieu Tuan Tu and Bui Thi Chi from Quang Ninh province had lost their legs due to the accident.

Vice President Naidu were also witnessed the Jaipur foots fitting by the technicians and the happiness of the patients received them.

The first Jaipur Foot camp in Vietnam was launched in Vinh Phuc province and Phu Tho province in July 2018 sponsored by BMVSS. Until now, 500 disabilities are successfully fitted with the artificial limbs.
