Children of Vietnam Committed a Support of VND 19 Billion to Quang Tri Province

Recently, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Quang Tri Province and the Children of Vietnam Organization signed a memorandum of cooperation for the 2024-2028 period with 5 main programs and a total committed budget of VND 19 billion.

Accordingly, 5 main programs include building new or repairing classrooms in schools in mountainous and disadvantaged areas; providing rice and nutritious goods for students in mountainous districts; supporting the School for Disabled Children in Quang Tri province; supporting water filtration systems for students and communities in difficult areas and supporting scholarships for students in difficult circumstances.

This is a large and meaningful community development aid mobilization program since Quang Tri province implemented the national program on strengthening cooperation and mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid for the period 2019- 2025.

Also, according to the signed MOU, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Quang Tri Province and the Children of Vietnam Organization jointly coordinated to develop project documents to concretize responsibilities, obligations, and coordination mechanisms between relevant parties as a legal basis for the convenient and effective implementation of projects.

Children of Vietnam is a US non-governmental organization founded in 1998, working in the fields of health support, education, and community development in many provinces and cities and has been recognized by many agencies and localities for the results achieved.

Up to now, dozens of thousands of children in Vietnam received care and assistance from 4 basic programs sponsored by Children of Vietnam, including Housing, Health and Nutrition, and 2 sub-programs, namely Empowering Women and Children, and the Care System for Disabled Children.
