Chol Thnam Thmay celebrated in Can Tho
Chol Chnam Thmay is one of the most important festivals for Khmer people in Cambodia. It usually lasts three days and is celebrated mostly in pagodas.
Venerable Ly Hung presents gifts to 15 Cambodian students studying in Can Tho city.
The Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations along with the city’s Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association held a meeting with Cambodian people and students who live and study in Can Tho on the occasion of their New Year festival.
In the meeting, the Can Tho’s Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association launched the "Nurturing seeds of friendship" movement to help and support Cambodian students studying in Vietnam, both materially and spiritually. This movement was started in 2012 by the Central Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association, which make the relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia grow in depth with higher efficiency.
On this occasion, Venerable Ly Hung, abbot of Pitu Khosa Rangsay Pagoda presented gifts to 15 Cambodian students studying in Can Tho city./.
