	Cuban Ambassador: Vietnam - Cuba has Rich Potential for Cooperation in Various Fields

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Committee of the HCYU, Bui Quang Huy respectfully thanked Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén and the leaders and staff of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam for their support and assistance in youth cooperation activities between the two countries in recent times.

In response, Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén thanked the HCYU and Vietnamese youth for their special affection for the country and people of Cuba, expressing his honor to receive the "Medal for the Young Generation".

He affirmed that in recent times, the youth of the two countries have had many meaningful exchange and cooperation activities, especially the painting contest "Vietnamese - Cuban children in solidarity" and the painting exhibition in Quang Tri province, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Cuban President Fidel Castro's first visit to Vietnam and the newly liberated area in Quang Tri, Vietnam in 2023.

He also proposed that the Communist Youth Unions of Vietnam and Cuba exchange delegations more frequently, and increase exchanges between youth in the localities of the two countries to convey the warm and friendly feelings of both countries to the younger generation.

Sharing the same view, Bui Quang Huy affirmed that the relations between youth is the future of the relations between the two countries. At the same time, he wished to continue to receive the attention, support and close coordination of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam, agencies and organizations on the Cuban side to successfully organize programs and exchange and cooperation activities between the youth of the two countries, especially in 2025, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba

He also wants to strengthen the traditional solidarity and special friendship between the two Parties, the two States and the peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, and enhance exchanges between young people from the two countries' localities.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the HCYU awarded the "Medal For the Young Generation" to Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén in recognition of the Ambassador's contributions to the youth cooperation activities between Vietnam and Cuba in recent times.

Expressing his honour to receive the "For the Young Generation" Medal, Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén affirmed that the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba is always good and will become increasingly closer, with the contribution of the youth of the two countries through exchange, cooperation and delegation exchanges.
