“It is said that when you come to Vietnam, you will understand a lot in just a few minutes, but the rest you have to experience in reality." This line from Graham Greene's Quiet American resonated with Richard Quest throughout his journey in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Richard Quest, Vietnam is now very attractive. Tourists from all over the world flock here to the warm welcome of the natives.

"I haven't been to Vietnam for 20 years, and so I decided to choose this place as the next destination of the show," said Quest.

In Ho Chi Minh City, Richard Quest also experienced the lifestyle, culture and unique features that only locals know, such as learning how to cross the street, enjoying banh xeo, and getting haircut a sidewalk salon. Richard Quest seems to be playing the role of a Vietnamese tourism promoter, bringing the image, country and people here to global tourists.

"Quest's World of Wonder" collaborated with Joy Journeys, a travel agency in Ho Chi Minh City. Joy Journeys has been highly appreciated by leading travel channels such as "Travelers' Choice Award 2023", "Travelers' Choice Award 2024" by Tripadvisor, "Superhost" on Airbnb or "Badge Of Excellence" by Viator... Therefore, the indigenous cultural elements of people, culture, landscapes... have been shown more clearly on CNN.

Ho Chi Minh City tourism professionals hope that the vivid images of the city broadcast around the world through CNN's "Quest's World of Wonder" program will contribute to spreading and creating deep impressions so that foreign tourists have memorable experiences when choosing to travel and explore the city in particular and Vietnam in general.

"I see in Vietnam a young generation that is constantly moving forward, striving to develop and grow. Slowly but surely, Vietnam is gradually integrating into a larger, broader economy. Vietnam still has a lot of room to develop tourism," Richard Quest commented.

Quest's World of Wonder program about Ho Chi Minh City was produced from April 2024 and is set to broadcast on CNN at the end of August.
