Con Dao, a secluded paradise boasting peaceful allure
When it comes to Con Dao, people would be reminded of the tragic history witnessing resilient years of war. However, Con Dao of the modern days has turned into an attractive magnet on Vietnam’s tourist map thanks to its spectacular scenery, diverse ecosystem, and special historical values.
Con Dao, also known as Con Lon, Con Son, is an island district in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province. Con Dao covers an area of about 76 km2, including 16 large and small islands with a population of about 6,000 people.

The island has been named in the list of “top 10 most charming islands on the planet” by Lonely Planet Magazine and in the list of “the best secret islands on earth” by Travel + Leisure, according to Nhan Dan Newspaper.
The island has welcomed a large number of domestic and foreign visitors as it is an ideal place to seek tranquility.

The pier was constructed in 1893 with a designated length of 107 meters. Under many renovations, it has been expanded to 300 meters long and 5 meters wide.
