"Thousands of Vietnamese young people have studied in Baku (Capital of Azerbaijan). They also helped strengthen the friendship established by the leaders of both sides. With their best manners, learning attitudes, and abilities, they all left very warm and sincere memories of Vietnam in the hearts of all Azerbaijanis,” said Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizade.
Congratulations on the 106th anniversary of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that the Vietnam - Azerbaijan friendship is built on a solid historical foundation, long-standing traditions and sympathy of the two peoples, nurtured and developed by generations of leaders of the two countries. “The concert is an opportunity to celebrate the two countries' rich cultural heritage and artistic talents. Vietnam and Azerbaijan may be far apart geographically, linguistically, and culturally, but we will bridge that gap with melodies that cross borders and touch the depths of the human soul tonight. Through tonight's concert, we celebrate the beauty and diversity of our musical traditions. Today is also an opportunity for Vietnamese people to learn more about Azerbaijani folk music - Mugham, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2003,” said Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang.
The concert includes 9 performances, with talented national music artists of the two countries including Mansum Ibrahimov, Elchin Hashimov, Elnur Ahmadov, Siyavush Karimov, Nguyen Thi Hoa Dang, Pham Thi Tra My, Nguyen Thi Le Giang, Nguyen Xuan Vinh, Vu Dieu Thao, Sevinch Hanh Phuc, among others.
