Through the Vinh Long Union of Friendship Organizations and the Asia Exchange Association (AEA/RoK), Myongji University's cultural exchange program, gift distribution, and sponsorship activities not only provided joy and motivation for the students but also offered opportunities to build life skills, exchange cultural understanding, and engage in diverse experiential learning activities.

Visiting Vinh Long for the first time, Lee Myeong Woo, a professor at Myongji University said "I am impressed by the clean surroundings and fresh air here. Although we initially worried about language barriers, our team is delighted by the kindness and sincerity of everyone. The students are incredibly cheerful and lively, they even gave us gifts in return."

Art, physical education, and science lessons, along with captivating cultural performances such as Taekwondo demonstrations, mask dancing, and traditional handicraft making, allowed students to explore unique aspects of Korean culture while developing essential life skills.

Luong Thi My Ngoc, a student at Phu Quoi C Primary School, shared, "I was happy watching the performances and attending the classes. My favorite part was the martial arts and dance demonstrations."

Meanwhile, Vuong Thao Uyen, the group’s interpreter, said, "At first, I was anxious about language and cultural differences. However, over these past days, I've been thrilled to see how the RoK students and the primary school students bonded through genuine affection, overcoming the language barrier."

The exchange program not only created unforgettable memories for the primary school students but also gave the RoK university students meaningful experiences.

Hwang Yoon Seo shared "We spent two months preparing for these activities. Our time at the school has helped us improve teamwork skills and gain personal growth experiences. I hope to return someday."

Discussing the preparation for the exchange trip to Vietnam, Lee Myeong Woo added, "Twice a year, our university organizes cultural exchange trips for RoK students to Vietnam. Through these activities, we aim to strengthen the Vietnam-RoK relationship further. I hope more RoK students will register and participate in these programs.”

According to Euna Ko, director of AEA/RoK, over the past 10 years, AEA has facilitated numerous cultural exchange and sponsorship activities involving RoK university students in Vinh Long Province. The goal is to provide Vietnamese students and RoK university students with diverse educational experiences, life skills, and personal development opportunities.

Le Tan Hien, principal of Phu Quoi C Primary School, shared that beyond cultural exchange activities, the delegation also supported the school by building two canopies with a total area of 200 square meters, creating better conditions for students to study and play.

"These activities provide opportunities for students to develop their character, gain new knowledge, and contribute to improving the quality of basic education. We hope such programs will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries," said Principal Hien.

In a short time, the event has forged strong bonds of friendship between Myongji University students, the students and teachers of Phu Quoi C Primary School, leaving behind warm memories and a sense of global community.
