On December 30, the Ambassadors of Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Malaysia to Cuba lauded Vietnam's leadership as the rotating Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Havana, Cuba (ACHC) for the latter half of 2024, commending its efforts to bolster intra-regional relations and enhance the bloc’s connections with the host nation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Lao Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith in Hanoi on December 30 during the latter's visit, which aims to prepare for the upcoming 47th session of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee.
