Da Nang city Party Committee considered building a peaceful Da Nang an important target which holds great significance in the 2015-2020 tenure.

So said Vo Cong Tri, Deputy Secretary of the city’s Party Committee during a press conference held on October 9^th introducing the city’s 21^st Party Congress for the next term.

During the conference, Nguyen Thanh Quang, Head of the city Party Committee Commission for Popularization and Education said that 350 delegates will convene the Congress set for October 14^th – 17^th.

The Congress will cover the subject of building a pure and strong Party Committee, mobilizing all resources to develop the city into a rich, beautiful, peaceful, advanced and modern one.

Accordingly, the city targets to minimise robbery, traffic accidents and work accidents, bringing more peace to for people’s lives.

On the environment, the city leaders will strive to ensure that all development is green and environmentally sustainable, making the city a clean and beautiful place without industrial pollution or traffic congestion.

To realise the target to build a peaceful city, Da Nang will continue to accelerate poverty reduction, eliminate illiteracy, have no drug users among the communities or any killings as a result of robbery.

The draft documents submitted to the city’s 21^st Party Congress work out 3 breakthrough targets in socio-economic development, including strong growth in service, tourism and trade, with attraction into hi-tech industry and information technology; the building of the synchronous infrastructure, urban culture and an environmentally friendly city; and development of high quality human resources./.
