The 20^th Vietnam Film Festival will take place in the central coastal city of Da Nang from November 24^th-28^th, heard a conference on October 19^th.

The event is to honour Vietnam’s best movies and introduce Vietnam’s new cinema products to audiences while creating a platform for artists and film producers and distributors to share experience in the field.

It is part of the activities to celebrate the 50^th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The festival affirms the role played by the cinema industry in promoting images and culture of the country, traditional friendship and cooperation among the ASEAN member nations via the Film ASEAN Awards initiated by Vietnam.

Various activities will be held during the event, including seminars featuring the development of the Vietnam and ASEAN film industry, film screening week, an exhibition on the Vietnamese cinema, and art exchanges./.
