Da Nang to host int’l fireworks fest in April
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018 will be held in the central coastal city of Da Nang from April 29th to June 30th to celebrate the country’s Reunification Day (April 30th).

The fireworks festival themed “The Legend of Bridges” will feature performances from seven teams from Poland, France, the U.S., Italy, Hong Kong, Sweden, Portugal and the host country on the Han River.
Scores of activities are expected to take place on the sidelines of the firework competition, including a food festival, a flash mob dance performance for students, and a street carnival show.
Held for the first time in 2008, the event, formerly known as the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC), has emerged as an important cultural and tourism event, contributing to cultural exchanges and wooing many foreign tourists to Da Nang and Vietnam.
This year marks an important milestone of the international-level competition as the event was renamed with eight international teams attending. Da Nang is expected to welcome 6.6 million visitors this year, an increase of 19 per cent against last year.
Meanwhile, international tourist arrivals to Vietnam in the first 11 months of this year totalled 11.6 million, a pickup of 27.8 per cent from the same period last year, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism./.
