President Boviengkham Vongdala expressed his delight and honor at meeting President To Lam during his first overseas trip to Laos. He also extended congratulations on President To Lam's election by the Vietnamese National Assembly to his new position.

Sharing information about the Association's recent activities, President Boviengkham Vongdala stated that the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association has a close relationship with the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association. The two sides have coordinated numerous practical activities, contributing to the consolidation and strengthening of friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Comrade Boviengkham Vongdala committed to continuing to work with the Association's leadership to further promote friendship, solidarity, and people-to-people exchanges with the determination to protect and maintain the special relationship between the two nations.

State President To Lam expressed his delight in paying his first state visit in his new position to the beautiful and hospitable country of Laos. He witnessed the outstanding achievements of Laos and reunited with comrades, friends, and close brothers of the Vietnamese people.

He emphasized that the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos are increasingly strengthened and deeply developed across all fields, including politics, national defense, security, economy, education, culture, and society for the benefit of the people of both countries.

Thanking the sincere sentiments and wholehearted support from the Party, State, and people of Laos, President To Lam affirmed that Vietnam consistently prioritizes the consolidation and fostering of great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

President To Lam appreciated the role of President Boviengkham Vongdala and his positive contributions in promoting people-to-people exchanges and raising awareness among the citizens of both countries, especially the young generation, about the continuous strengthening and fostering of the special friendship between the two nations.

The Vietnamese State President also requested the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association to continue coordinating with Lao authorities to support and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Laos, including the Vietnamese expatriates, to live and work in Laos, actively contributing to the country's prosperity.

He also emphasized that the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association and the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Associations hold significant strength and an important role in the process of consolidating and enhancing the special friendship between the two countries. He hoped that these Associations would continue to be an important bridge for the everlasting, vibrant, and sustainable friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
