During its operation, DIVA has implemented meaningful activities in Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, and Bac Giang provinces such as supporting school construction, awarding scholarships, donating filtered water systems for schools, building houses and toilets for poor households, and sponsoring medical equipment.

In 2018, DIVA funded the construction of Binh Yen Secondary School (Binh Yen commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province) with a total cost of about USD 355,000 USD (over VND 8.1 billion). The school was inaugurated on May 13, 2019, with a 2-story building with 10 classrooms, a principal house, and other buildings.

Binh Yen is a poor mountainous commune, whose over 90% of the population are of ethnic minorities. Before the inauguration of the sponsored school, the commune did not have a secondary school, so students had to travel a long way to study at the Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School of Dinh Hoa district. After the project is implemented, from the 2019-2020 school year, over 100 students can study in their locality.
