Dong Nai Celebrates 50 Years of Vietnam and Malaysia's Diplomatic Relations

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung said, along with localities across the country, Dong Nai made many contributions in the process of building the relationship between the localities and the two countries Malaysia and Dong Nai.
In Dong Nai, Malaysia is one of six ASEAN countries investing in the province with 18 projects with a total registered capital of over US$200 million.
In recent years, Dong Nai enterprises also imported many materials for industrial production and consumer goods from ASEAN countries and Malaysia such as chemicals, iron and steel, machinery and equipment.
Wong Chia Chiann, consul general of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City, thanked the leaders of Dong Nai province for their attention in the process of building diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Malaysia.

Wong Chia Chiann also hoped that exchanges, people-to-people diplomacy and economic investment will continue to be promoted between Dong Nai and localities of Malaysia.
"Hopefully through today's event, we can show the friendliness of the Malaysian people and our unique cultures. We also want to bring peoples of the two countries together. The peoples of the two countries will be an important bridge leading to more cooperation between Malaysia and Dong Nai. We realize that the potential for cooperation between the two countries is still great, and today is also one of the opportunities to connect," Wong Chia Chiann said.

On this occasion, Wong Chia Chiann presented medals to four individuals of Dong Nai, including Ho Thanh Son, permanent deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Nguyen Son Hung, vice chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
