Malaysia Madani Week in Ho Chi Minh City to Feature Many Interesting Activities

The Malaysia Madani Week is set to take place from June 9 to 18 in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between Malaysia and Vietnam, heard a press conference on June 6, VNA reported.
This is an event connecting trade, tourism, education and economy between businesses, educational institutions and tourism in Malaysia and Vietnam.
The press conference was attended by Consul General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City, Wong Chia Chiann; Dato Theng Bee Han, chairman of Malaysian Business Association in Vietnam; Tran Hoang Khanh Van, deputy chief representative Southern Office of Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO); Ho Xuan Lam, vice president of Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) and representatives of the Consulate General, major hotels in the city (Sheraton Saigon Hotel and Towers, Hotel Des Arts Saigon, Sofitel Saigon Plaza, Pullman Saigon) and many representatives of news agencies.
The Malaysia Madani Week is jointly organized by the Consulate General of Malaysia in the city and its agencies such as Tourism Malaysia Vietnam, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), together with the Malaysia Business Chamber Vietnam (MBC), and the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre, among others.

In the opening speech at the press conference, Consul General Wong Chia Chiann informed about the events that will be held within the framework of Madani Malaysia week, especially the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony of the Madani Malaysia Pavilion Exhibition, which brings together 30 Malaysian brands across various sectors such as consumption, services, education, healthcare, tourism, and finance, is scheduled to take place on June 9, 2018. 2023 at Estella Place, Thu Duc City at 6:30 pm

The Malaysian Consul General revealed that the week will incorporate many events, including Malaysia Madani Pavilion, Malaysia Education Fair, and the Food and Cultural Promotion Programme.
The food and cultural promotion program will take place at hotels of Sofitel Saigon, Sheraton Saigon, Pullman Saigon, and M Gallery Saigon, she added.
Moreover, festival-goers can have a chance to join an education program at the Center for Foreign Affairs and Languages Training, business networking with HCM City Investment and Trade Promotion Centre, and a cultural exchange program in collaboration with the Vietnam-ASEAN Friendship Association.
The celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Malaysia diplomatic ties will be held at the Opera House in District 1 on June 13 and in Dong Nai province on June 15.
After that, representatives of specialized departments of the Consulate General and MBC Chairman Dato Theng Bee Han, and partners coordinated with the Consulate General during the organization of Madani Malaysia week, provided a lot of details about activities in the upcoming series of activities, and answered questions from representatives of news agencies.
